Reggae and Soca combine for a regal regatta finale

THE 2012 EDITION of the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta was truly a memorable affair. The excitement of the weekend reached its peak during the Sunday evening final party which was headlined by the sensational Reggae balladeer Beres Hammond.

AFTER FIFTY YEARS in the calypso art form, icon Rupert "Swallow" Philo was awarded by the Antiguan government, he is now a Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of the Nation – KCN for Services to the art form of Calypso.
