Nothing to shout about at first Cavalcade

IT WASN’T MUCH of a tantrum at last night’s first Cavalcade for 2012.  In fact, it was more of an anti-climax.

The very talented Crimeson, who headlined the event was well received but he didn’t seem to keep the audience moving as we’ve seen him do at other events. Cropoverbarbados.com had heard that he was upset by comments allegedly made on Face Book questioning his presence at the show. When we spoke to him he said he had not seen the statements and therefore could not comment on them.

1st Cavalcade tonight!!

THE FIRST CAVALCADE for the 2012 Crop Over season gets started at 7:00 tonight on the Briar Hall playing field.

Dubbed Youth Invasion, Episode 1 it is headlined by Crimeson & Gorg.

Log in and we will have all the pics.

SOCA STAR BLOOD is first out the blocks this year, with the launch of this year's album LOUD.

The launch was at the Monsta Grill, just off the ABC highway and adjacent to the Sagicor building.

Increase In Prize Money For Crop Over Seems Likely

STAKEHOLDERS IN THE Crop Over Festival seem set to receive a reasonable and fair increase in prize money.

Without revealing what the increases would be, Minister of Culture, Stephen Lashley, said the constituents had been sensitive to the economic climate in Barbados and they were both reasonable and understanding in their requests.
