Fifi in full bloom

FIFI Bloom

WITH AN UNRELENTING desire to sing professionally, the effervescent Fifi Bloom has operated with clarity of vision in realizing her dream.

From mimicking the vocals of great artists like Celine Dion and Michael Jackson as a kid, to seven years of classical musical training with Norma Bowen, to enrolling in a holistic artist development programme to further hone her skills, every move Fifi has made has placed her one step closer to her dream of becoming a singer.

The Guyanese born Barbados raised lass believes that hard work equals results.  “My mother taught me that.  My mother always pushed me to focus in on a goal and then to roll up my sleeves and work hard to make it happen.”

Fifi’s dream, 17 years in the making, is truly a result of dedication to hard work.   Even her manager will tell you that Fifi’s work ethic is something she wishes she could bottle up and distribute!

The recent Barbados Community College music graduate is now officially making her musical contribution to the soca arena with her debut single Ready.

“It’s a song about my journey to this point that anyone who has sacrificed to reach a goal can identify with,” Bloom shares.

The self-penned tune is one of two songs Fifi Bloom will release this Crop Over season.

Look out for her second single, to be released during the month of June, 2011. In the meantime listen to Ready below.
